We spoke to Chief Executive Officer, David Cooper, about Malcolm Pacific Immigrations journey and the instrumental role Nexia has played in their success.
Since its foundation nearly 40 years ago, Malcolm Pacific Immigration has been assisting those seeking to travel to and from New Zealand. Whether its supporting tourists, students and workers to secure visas or helping people to relocate permanently and gain citizenship, Malcolm Pacific Immigration understands the nuances and complexities of.
The world of immigration is one that David Cooper knows inside and out. Having worked as an Immigration Officer, he joined Malcolm Pacific Immigration in 1988. For David, the work they do is all about people.
“Every day brings unique challenges and new stories from those looking to come to New Zealand. We strive to be empathetic and put the individual at the heart of everything we do, because at the end of the day that’s what immigration’s about,” said David.
“That caring approach has been the cornerstone of our business since it was founded almost 40 years ago by former Immigration Minister Anothony “Aussie” Malcolm, who started New Zealand’s first entry into the America’s Cup.
“Today, it’s exemplified in initiatives like our free comprehensive assessment sessions, which take some of financial pressure off those looking to explore their options.”
Today, Malcolm Pacific Immigration is the largest immigration consultancy firm in New Zealand, employing 33 licensed immigration advisers across its four offices in Auckland, Queenstown, Wellington and Tauranga.
“Trust is critical to us, and we know we can entrust Nexia with our accounting needs and they’ll deliver. It’s a partnership we truly value and they’ve proven through their dedication and hard work that they view us a partner too,” David said.
“The team at Nexia don’t just review our finances, they’re hands on and have visited our offices to train our in-house accountants and pass on their valuable insights. That sort of service isn’t offered by every firm, and it sums up why we have utmost faith in their ability to deliver quality, accurate work.
“Nexia’s helped us to save money, make more informed decisions and ultimately grow our business and be able to support more people to visit or live in New Zealand and contribute to our economy and culture.”
